Take a few different bras with you like strapless, halter and racer-back so you can really see how a dress with hang on your body. Wearing a pair of heels and you die all the jewelry to wear for a more complete picture of how your dress will actually look.

Keep it simple, sister.
It is advisable to stay out the night of prom, but you do not wear a dress wild. A simple dress or classic style (think Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore), can be even more surprising. In addition, each dress can be worn again with different shoes, hair or accessories-is a great investment.

Being happy snap.
Bring a Polaroid or digital camera on your shopping so you can take pictures of yourself in clothes that you like and compare the latest contenders. You can also have friends or relatives browse photos to help you decide.

If you like it, buy it.
Or ask the shop to put it on hold so as not to risk someone else in your dance outfit. But not content with so-so, you should feel absolutely fabulous on prom night so stick with the search until you find your perfect dress.
